FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT CERAKOTE

What is cerakoting?

Cerakote is a type of finish for your gun made of a polymer-ceramic compound adhesive. It allows you to add color and patterns to your gun while helping protect it from weather and wear.

Can you cerakote over cerakote?

Cerakote will not adhere to cerakote well. We recommend you have the previous Cerakote blasted off then re-coated with Cerakote.

Is cerakote worth it?

Cerakote is absolutely worth it. Cerakote will protect your rifle from weather, dings, scratches, and rust. Cerakote helps you protect your investment.

Is cerakote better than bluing?

Yes Cerakote is more durable and chemical resistant than bluing. Cerakote also allows you to color your rifle, unlike blueing.
