Description

Dope that lives in a pocket, a phone, or a range bag has a bad habit of being somewhere else when the shot shows up. The T.A.B. Gear Dope Thing is a simple field tool that keeps your rifle data accessible without adding bulk or clutter.

The front uses a clear plastic sleeve so you can see your dope instantly while keeping the card protected from moisture, dirt, and handling. It’s built to hold multiple dope cards, which matters if you’re tracking different atmospheres, elevations, ammo lots, or even different rifles. Swap cards as conditions change, keep spares ready, and you’re not rewriting data every time you move.

On the back, a woven elastic strap lets you thread the Dope Thing onto your sling anywhere—near the cuff, closer to the rear, or wherever your support hand naturally lands. Once mounted, it rides flat and stays out of the way until you roll the rifle and need a quick look. The result is less fumbling and more clean execution when time and angles aren’t generous.

For writing, use pencil or a Sharpie on the data cards for the best field durability.
