Built for real Western hunting, not range-day bragging rights. The Long-Range Hunter carries light enough for steep miles, settles in solid behind the rifle, and gives you the confidence to break clean shots when the wind finally lets you send it.

Description
The Long-Range Hunter is our do-it-all Western hunting rifle — light enough to live on your shoulder all day, steady enough to make first-round hits when the shot stretches out. Built around our SMR F-22R stainless or titanium action and SMR Carbon Fiber Precision Rifle Barrel, it’s a true field rifle with match-grade manners.
The PSE Evo stock to SMR specs keeps the system tight, rigid, and repeatable under recoil without beating you up in field positions. Weighing under 7 lbs, it strikes that sweet spot where pack weight, recoil control, and real-world shootability line up. Sub 1/2 MOA performance is guaranteed, so when your dope is right and your fundamentals are clean, the rifle will do its part.
For hunters who want one rifle to cover antelope on the plains, elk in the timber, and mule deer in the high country, the Long-Range Hunter is the workhorse we reach for first.
SMR Load-Development Process
Every Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. custom rifle goes through intensive load development. We spend days on your actual rifle testing different loads, seating depths, and components to find what it truly wants to shoot—then we hand you that exact recipe for your chamber, barrel, twist, and setup.
You can run it yourself on the loading bench, or let us do the heavy lifting and order rifle-matched ammo built to that proven spec.
