Description

The GrimLOC was designed around a simple problem: metal carabiners are heavy, they corrode, they rattle, and they snag—especially when you’re running slings and accessories on armor or load-bearing gear. The GrimLOC answers that with a high-strength polymer locking D-ring that’s lighter, quieter, and built for hard use in grit, sweat, and weather.

The locking gate is designed for quick, one-handed access, and the body geometry supports common connection points like weapon slings to body armor and other clip-on accessories. The exterior is textured so you can manipulate it with gloves or wet hands. For dusty environments, Self Purging [SP] ports help prevent sand and debris from packing into the mechanism and causing a bind.

A key feature is the break-away design, intended to help reduce snag hazards by allowing the connection to release under specific conditions instead of dragging you or your gear into a hang-up. The material also offers corrosion resistance and reduced solar heating compared to metal hardware, which matters when gear sits in direct sun for hours.
