The Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. Flex System Magazine, Bottom Metal & Lid Combo Kit gives you both rifle configurations in one package: detachable magazine function and BDL-style carry from the same Flex System bottom metal.

This kit includes the Flex System bottom metal, a matched detachable magazine, and the lid components needed to run the rifle in a BDL-style configuration. Install the lid when you want a clean, quiet hunting rifle setup. Swap to the magazine when you want faster reloads, easier unloading, or more flexibility during a longer shot string.

One Bottom Metal System. Two Field-Ready Configurations.

The Flex System was built for hunters who want detachable-magazine utility without giving up the handling and carry characteristics of a traditional rifle. With this combo kit, you can run the rifle as a BDL-style setup or as a detachable-magazine system using the same bottom metal body.

The Flex interface keeps both configurations tight, repeatable, and aligned for reliable feeding. It gives you the option to set the rifle up for the hunt in front of you, whether that means quiet carry through timber or magazine-fed speed in open country.

Short-Action Flex System Combo Kits

Short-action Flex System Magazine, Bottom Metal & Lid Combo Kits are available for Rem 700 and M5 inlet patterns. These kits are offered for standard, magnum/PRC, and WSM/SAUM cartridge families.

• Rem 700 short-action option: Built for short-action Remington 700-pattern rifle setups.
• M5 short-action option: Built for short-action rifles using an M5 bottom metal inlet.
• Standard cartridge option: Built for standard bolt-face short-action cartridges such as .308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, and similar cartridge families.
• Magnum/PRC cartridge option: Built for short-action magnum and PRC-class cartridges requiring dedicated magazine geometry.
• WSM/SAUM cartridge option: Built for short-action WSM and SAUM cartridge families where feed geometry and cartridge stack matter.

Long-Action Flex System Combo Kits

Long-action Flex System Magazine, Bottom Metal & Lid Combo Kits are available in M5 only. Long-action kits are offered with two internal length options: 3.00″ and 3.825″. These kits are available for standard and magnum/PRC cartridge families.

• M5 long-action option: Built for long-action rifles using an M5 bottom metal inlet.
• 3.00″ internal length option: Built for rifle and cartridge setups requiring the shorter internal length configuration.
• 3.825″ internal length option: Built for cartridges that benefit from additional internal length and seating flexibility.
• Standard cartridge option: Built for standard bolt-face long-action cartridge families.
• Magnum/PRC cartridge option: Built for magnum and PRC-class cartridges requiring dedicated magazine fit and feeding geometry.

A BDL-style setup gives you a clean bottom profile, quiet carry, and simple rifle handling in the field. A detachable magazine gives you faster reloads, simpler ammunition management, and more flexibility when conditions change.
