Breakthrough Clean Technologies Military-Grade Solvent

Description

A good solvent should do two things: strip fouling quickly, and leave nothing behind. Breakthrough Clean Technologies® Military-Grade Solvent is a multi-purpose cleaner/degreaser designed to remove oil, grease, and carbon build-up while delivering a true no-residue clean—without the aggressive aromatic stink common to many traditional gun solvents.

The formula is odorless and built around a low-toxicity, high-purity hydrocarbon with low vapor pressure, which helps control VOC emissions and reduces the harsh “burn” you get from high-volatility cleaners. Breakthrough states it’s benzene-free and HAP-free, non-carcinogenic, and non-irritating to the skin, with a very low degree of eye irritancy. It’s also positioned as a compliance-friendly option—designed to avoid listed hazardous waste components/characteristics and reduce regulatory headaches around emissions and disposal.

On the gun side, it’s safe on common modern finishes and materials. It won’t stain wood, plastics, or polymer components, and it’s safe for Cerakote and hydro-printed finishes—so you can clean aggressively where it counts without worrying about the parts that shouldn’t be attacked. It’s also useful beyond firearms for general degreasing tasks like knives, fishing reels, automotive/brake work, marine gear, and tools.
