Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. Suppressor Safety Recall

Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. is issuing a safety recall for Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. manufactured suppressors purchased between 10/1/25 and 5/29/26.

We have identified a recurring failure pattern with the welding process on Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. manufactured suppressors that may create an unintended safety risk to the shooter and anyone nearby. It has been reported that when failure occurs, the shooter experiences a substantial and immediate increase in recoil impulse compared to normal operation.

While this has only been reported in a small percentage of suppressors to date, out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to recall all Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. manufactured suppressors.

Resolution & Return Instructions

Do not ship your suppressor to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. at this time.

Affected owners may choose one of two resolution paths:

REFUND: This is the fastest and cleanest resolution path. A refund requires an ATF Form 4 transferring the suppressor back to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. Current ATF averages show individual eForm 4 processing at approximately one week, though processing times may vary. Once the Form 4 is approved, Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. will provide a prepaid shipping label and written shipping instructions. Refund timeline expires on October 17th, after that repair or replacement will be the only option. If you have already filled out the form prior to October 17th, you’re covered.

Our redesigned and modified suppressors are undergoing rigorous pre-release testing and we hope to have those available in 2027 for replacements as well as new purchases. Keep checking back HERE for updated listings.

REPAIR – EXTENDED TIMELINE: This option does not require a Form 4 transfer back to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. at this time. The suppressor must remain out of use while we complete the required testing, validation, and repair-development process. This process is expected to take a minimum of 9–12 months and may take longer if additional testing or design work is required. Replacements and/repairs should be expected in the beginning of 2027 for claims made before November.

Do not ship your suppressor under either option until Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. provides written shipping instructions.

Refund Options

Affected owners may select either store credit or a check through the recall form to process their refund.

STORE CREDIT: Store credit will be made available after Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. verifies that the Form 4 has been filed.

CHECK: Checks will be issued after the ATF Form 4 has been approved and tracking confirms the suppressor has been shipped back to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. using the prepaid shipping label.

What You Should Do Now

If you own a Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. suppressor purchased in that timeframe, please take the following steps:

  • Stop using the suppressor immediately.
  • Do not fire, test, modify, repair, or continue using the suppressor.
  • Do not ship, transfer, or deliver the suppressor to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co., a dealer, carrier, or third party until Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. provides written shipping instructions.
  • Fill out the recall form below, and select your preferred resolution.
  • Owners selecting a refund will need to submit an ATF Form 4 to transfer the suppressor back to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. We recommend using ATF eForms when possible. ATF also provides a manual paper Form 4 for owners who cannot or do not wish to use eForms. Owners selecting store credit will be issued their refund on confirmation of Form 4 submission. Owners requesting a check will be issued a check once the Form 4 is approved and the product has been shipped back via our provided pre-paid shipping label.
  • Owners selecting repair will not need to submit a Form 4 at this time. We will provide a pre-paid shipping label along with written instructions for shipping. The suppressor must remain out of use while Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. completes the required testing, validation, and repair-development process over a minimum of the next 9-12 months.

ATF Form 4 Information

The ATF Form 4 process applies to owners who choose the refund option.

Because suppressors are regulated NFA items, a suppressor being returned to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. for refund must be transferred back through the required ATF/NFA process before we can receive it. The registered owner, trust, entity, or authorized responsible person must submit an ATF Form 4 transferring the suppressor back to Snowy Mountain Rifle Co.

The suppressor must remain in the current registrant’s possession until the ATF Form 4 has been approved.

  • Do not ship the suppressor before approval.
  • Do not create your own shipping label.
  • Do not take the suppressor to a dealer for return shipment unless Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. instructs you to do so in writing.

Once the ATF Form 4 is approved and we have verified the approval, Snowy Mountain Rifle Co. will provide a prepaid shipping label and written shipping instructions.
